Daryl first came to our attention at the beginning of the 2002/2003 season. At the time we were actually trying to avoid his gaze, but alas it wasn't to be. And so another chapter in the Hall of Shame History presented itself.

 

Daryl's ability as a footballer is not actually as bad as any of our other Hall of Shamers, but his time keeping and dependability put everyone else to shame.

 

Known to turn up 5 minutes before the end of a training session, Daryl has also managed to shock everyone by being ridiculously early. So early in fact that no one else had yet arrived, but Darly assumed we'd already left so went home.

 

Other memorable moments include getting himself lost when in the middle of a convoy of cars and that most notorius of incidents, when as a linesman and during a goal mouth scramble, Darly actually gave a goal against his own team when no one else had a clue whether the ball had crossed the line. We'd like to say this simply shows Daryls honesty, but more likely he wasn't watching and just gave the first answer that came into his head!

 

A lovely fellow and quite amusing Darly simply has to take his place on the Hall of Shame!
