In his 5th year as an Eagles player, Gav could arguably claim to be the most improved Eagles player of all time.

 

Starting his career as a no nonsense left back, his transformation to no nonsense centre back has been seamless. Always the first name on the team sheet, Gav has shown dependability and reliability with his old trademark, "player and hopefully some ball" tackle having now been honed into a much more controlled, thought still feared, tool.

 

Captain for the past 3 seasons, Gav has proven to be a solid leader and is now expected to lead the entire defence onto the next level.
